Another time-lapse and night photography

Another time-lapse of Lincoln as well as the night time photography at the pond that I did my previous time-lapse at last time. Click here  to see it.

Thank you to Julian Clune of C&G Photography for editing these images again.

My Great Grandmother

My Dad sent me an email the other day with a photo attached of a woman. He told me it was my Great Grandmother Jane Peacock. It was taken before she married my Great Grandfather Dick.

One of my middle names is Jane and apparently this is the woman I was named after. A few people have said I look similar to her?
This photo was taken at Cleethorpes but it isn't dated but we think it must be over 100 years ago.

Nice to put a face to a name and know who I was named after!

Night time photography

I was playing with my camera last night after a few drinks out with friends. It's the first time I've done any photography like this, but hopefully with more practice, I'm gonna do far more shots like this but hopefully with better results.

Another time lapse!

I stayed out with my brother a few nights ago and did another time lapse. The gradual sunset isn't so obvious as the previous time lapse I did in November which you can see by clicking here. This one is still beautiful though. Thank you Jules, for editing this for me.

Photograph of Lincoln town from a distance, open shutter for about 10 seconds.

A day out...

Today I had an interview for a Junior graphic designer position in Beverley (And yes, the interview went REALLY well and yes I'd LOVE to work there but we'll see what happens!)

I had some time to kill to look round Beverley. I'd been there as a kid but can't remember it, so I hoped looking round would re-jog my memory, but it didn't unfortunately.

The Humber bridge with a bit of cloud.

I took some nice shots of the quaint town, and visited the Church there which is beautiful. It's a nice place and I'd love to go back.

Beverley, lovely little place.

A traditional butcher's. It had jam and jars in the window which was different.

A sweet /chocolate shop I ended spending a bit of money in buying gifts for people... they had the cutest chocolate I'd ever seen and it looked so traditional inside. I had to buy something. And then I ate the chocolate I bought on the train on the way home :) nom nom nom...

Valentines gifts & 100th post....

I'm normally quite personal about this sort of thing but because the gifts are so lovely I can't help but share them!

My lovely boyfriend Daniel, knows me very well. I've just finished my first dream diary (click here to see the post) (of which I'm basing a project on with Sam Winston (Click here to find out who he is) later on this year) so Dan bought me a hand-made leather bound journal to start my second dream diary in! I'm a bit of a hand-made girl anyway so this was so thoughtful to me .

beautifully bound

Not only that but I've just finished the book 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' written by Jonathan Safran Foer. Dan also downloaded the film for me and I watched that. It was incredible (but you really need to read the book to watch the film otherwise it doesn't make sense) Dan bought me this book, to carry on my reading of this lovely author. Thank you Daniel!

(this is also my 100th post- yay!)

Photography in the snow...

My brother and I went for a little walk in the snow today up to Lincoln Cathedral to do some photography. Here are a few of the outcomes. I'm completely made up with how they've turned out! Thank you, Julian.

Swanholme Lake

Today my friend came to see me in Lincoln. We went out for a lovely lunch and then took a trip to Swansholme lake. It's so beautiful and all the lake was iced over. It's so strange to think that there's something so beautiful in such a busy, lively city. It's so peaceful there and completely took Fran and my breath away.
